Japan to donate $100K for rebuilding Iraqi schools

The Japanese government will be donating $100,000 to help rebuild the elementary and middle schools in Sadr city, Baghdad, Iraq. Japanese ambassador Hasegawa met with Iraqi officials in Baghdad for a signing ceremony on January 25.

Much of the city had been destroyed and many citizens were killed during the Iraqi war and the subsequent terrorist activities against the U.S. regime. The Japanese government believes it’s essential to stabilize and bring back some normalcy to these cities that hold anti-American sentiment through financial support.

Ambassador Hasegawa said, “We’d like to continue to support for a better future of Iraq.” An Iraqi government official said, “We’re grateful and hoping our friendship (with Japan) to deepen even more.”
